The only down side to being here, is that it’s currently in a competition….. This competition is with the devil to see who can create the hotter environment.

This is just some random pictures from earlier in my trip. Non of these are super recent, but this is the first chance I have to send some out.

*********************************************************************************

My friend that I found outside an art gallery, unfortunately, he had a lazy eye ?
*********************************************************************************

Vienna is still pretty sweet though. I mean, how often can you feel like the biggest snob?
I got to hit up a concert…in Vienna…. in Europe. How sweet is that? They busted some Mozart and other classics. It was pretty slick.

*********************************************************************************

Mike had a sweet picture of this really sweet building, so I suplized him, and made the picture better. Much better.

*********************************************************************************

This castle pretty much pwnd. The picture doesn’t do it justice at all.

*********************************************************************************

tehehehe, this guy is silly

*********************************************************************************

This is called haggis. Here’s a definition from wikipedia:

Haggis is a traditional Scottish dish. Although there are many recipes, it is normally made with the following ingredients: sheep's 'pluck' (heart, liver, and lungs), minced with onion, oatmeal, suet, spices, and salt, mixed with stock, and traditionally boiled in the animal's stomach for approximately an hour. It somewhat resembles stuffed intestines (pig intestines otherwise known as chitterlings), sausages and savoury puddings of which it is among the largest types.
*********************************************************************************

I got some bad news for you guys too… Mike… well… he broke down. He washed them. Not a straight wash, more of a “take them in with the shower with you and hope they get clean” sort of thing. Whatever, I’m still disappointed.

Take it easy guys, and someone plan something to do on August 5 (before I leave for Africa @ 5). I'll be game for sure.

Paulz0rz
Where’s Waldo

Sup everybody in Holland?

I’m in England
at the moment (and the slight differences on this keyboard is killing me, so
the rest might be written in lower case :P ), and it is absolutely gorgeous! We
went to Cambridge
for the day and it was simply stunning! I can see myself spending quite a bit
of time here down the road.

Also, for those that don’t know, I have absolutely the
_coolest_ friends in the world! I got several “care packages” which were both hysterical,
and meaningful. I’ll dive into those when I get back, and can upload some
pictures. I’ve already feel a slight British Accent sneaking in on me. Heck, it
even shows in my writing (seriously! Go re-read this post with your best British
accent, and minus the first line, it will flow!).

Unlike a cheesy British accent, other things here are harder
to pick up. Perhaps we shall call them “cultural uniqueness”. For instance,
today in the Pub, I overheard a waitress a few tables down proclaiming that
today’s special was “Spotted Dick”…

….ehem

Another difference is that everything is smaller, and more efficient.
The roads, the freezer, the loo, cars, and… well… people. Michael and I are
joining forces to create the O.P.C project (The last word is “Counting”, and if
you can figure out the rest of the acronym, I shall be impressed). At last
count, we’ve spotted a mere 2 obese people, and 2 that fall into a split decision.

In other news Mike, is on day 3 of his boxers that allegedly
can go 6 weeks without a wash…..

Sorry for the L.A.M.E. update, but I’ll try and get out a
weekly update when I can spare a few moments.

Much <3’z,

Paul (P.S. Drop me an email @ paulhontz2@gmail.com and drop me a note,
or a news update from around Holland)

P.S. I swear I saw Mr. Bean in first class.

Well, if you live in Holland this means that you need to give me my presents this thursday before I leave, but if you live in Doylse Town, then you can give them to me on my actual birthday (hint hint).

I'll totally give the best giftgiver a prize (suggestions?) as a reward.

Points are for the following categories: creativity, sentimental value, ideas based on older posts, ect.

Good luck, and expect a real post soon. I joke!), to give an update on Paul.

Paul is doing quite well these days (if you don’t count today…. I’m sick). He is actively pursuing questions that are strengthening his spiritual life, and he is beginning to make Christ his own, not just because it was the path laid out before him by the people around him (if that makes any sense).

He recognized a few areas in his life that need change, and he is trying NOT to turn a blind eye to them, but rather face them head on.

Paul is also writing this post in the third person.

He is enjoying school, and really glad that he doesn’t have online English anymore. Paul also can’t wait to attend such school functions as: his basketball games, and Spring Banquet, which should be ATON of fun.

Paul is done typing now, and is going to go eat cake (for you see, it is his fathers (whose name is also Paul) birthday).

One last itty bitty piece of randomness, instead of being called just Paul, “Paul Matthew” has been making the rounds as of late as well. Perhaps as a distinguishing factor from he and his father? Who know. Or maybe it is all in his head, and he is just imaging the recent influx.

What do you think, Paul, or Paul Matthew (He will love you regardless of what you pick)?

Sunday, January 22, 2006

I need to put 2 quick disclaimers on this post. 1. This is
written in jest, please don’t take it that seriously, and 2. I’ve been getting
into speed writing, this was all done in less then five minutes at 1AM this
morning (So don’t complain that it’s a metaphor and not a simile, and lacks
some obvious shine).

Ode to my ex-hair

Upon a dreary and gloomy day on December mourn,

When all was still, and all was just, the peace was
shattered by an obnoxious horn.

This horn is not real you see, rather, it represents, a simile.

For what I held in my hands, a letter which seeped out
scorn.

I was crushed, I was torn, between my love, and that dreaded
horn.

“Rules can be broken. Rules can be bent!”, however, my
parents, had not seen what I meant.

“Cut your hair, it’s a must!”

“That’s not fair!” I spat in disgust.

“I can’t, I won’t”

“You can, your pwnt”

As the battle grew, I realized I must surrender,

After all, I didn’t want my dad to change my gender.

Snip Snip, Clip Clip

As my heart was destroyed bit by bit.

Now my hair is in a state of confusion,

It knows not whether it be long, nor short.

The awkward phase of “We both like each other, but we aren’t
dating (don’t pretend you don’t know what I’m talking about readers)”

Do not fret oh hair of mine, I shall get one final cut,

So you know your role is short.

Then let you sprout, and grow until summer days are no more.

There is but one unanswered question, one question in deed,
who shall do it? Who is capable of performing such an audacious task, and won’t
loose any sleep at night. Who?

I mean, it does have its perks. For example now when you walk in it, it smells like a tropical rainforest. You can smell fruits you never knew existed. You enjoy the beautiful green plants. And like the rainforest, my bathroom can quickly transform from an innocent, beautiful resort, into a dangerous adventure. Don't believe me? Just try and take a shower.....

I kid you not, this is based on a true story.

I woke up at the crack of noon one day, and half asleep, brushed my teeth, and jumped in the shower. I knew immediately that something didn't feel right. Disturbance in the Force? Possibly. Near bathroom death approaching? More likely.

Right when I got to the shampoo, I realized that I had been bamboozled. IT WAS NOT SHAMPOO AT ALL!!! IT WAS CONDITIONER (guys read: it's not shampoo). I immediately swung around a few times, and in the process got it all in my eyes. As I slipped around, trying to get a grip on anything on the wall, I knocked four razors off the ledge. FOUR!

*<NOTE>*[note] another thing about my sister, she doesn't always put that protective covering back when she's done[end note] *</NOTE>*

I did not escape from that razor fiasco unscathed, and got a few cuts on my lower leg/feet. Maybe you didn't here me... FOUR!!!

To the girls: Do you keep your bathrooms clean? Or is it a potential lawsuit waiting to happen.

To the guys: Have you ever experienced any of that from your siblings?

FREAKEN FOUR! How many does a girl need?
Wednesday, December 14, 2005

Hello all, today I would like to share a story with you. It is about cause and effect. As you could probably tell, I’ve been gaining weight. Now this is a great thing for me (seeing how I’ve been trying to gain weight the last 2 years), and so far have managed to gain about 15 lbs this year. However, a problem came up between a friend and I because of this. I was very fond of this friend, and I’m sad to say that we are no longer friends. Now who is this you may ask?

The answer is my belly button of course. For as long as I can remember I have had a “perfect circle” of a belly button, and now it is oblong. Did all the muscle (it’s definitely 15lbs of muscle, not fat) squeeze that little sucker? I guess I’ll never know.

I’ve included this picture to show you just what I mean. I also tossed in the coin and paper clip for comparison sake.
